Blogging begins with me
Today I’m starting my blog, something I’ve been debating within myself for a long while, not sure if I should. What made me change my mind? A change of heart. Coming from a background in journalism, writing was always done for the reader, the public. But a friend, long-time blogger, and expert in the social media Kevin Lim, helped me realise that blogging begins with myself. It doesn’t matter if no one reads, it is a record for myself, about myself. If others read it too–all I can say is, I hope they enjoy it!
So to begin this blog, here’s today’s most apt Quote of the Day displayed on my Personalised Google Startpage:
“The man who writes about himself and his own time is the only man who writes about all people and all time.”
- George Bernard Shaw

Welcome to the blogosphere! Given your journalistic, technology and public relations background, I think plenty of people will find it interesting to read what you’ve to say. Take it easy and enjoy yourself
Welcome to the Blogosphere, as they say. I’d say it’s about “writing FOR oneself” and not “writing ABOUT oneself” per se.
