Goodbye Friend: Eddie Toh 1967 - 2008
Eddie was a good man. I didn’t get a much opportunity to work with him, but the interaction we had at work was enough to tell me he was a man with a good heart.
Just last month Eddie took me out for lunch at a nice Japanese restaurant with Jolene simply because I bought him Panadol the week before. And to think I actually grumbled when Kaitlyn asked me get the tablets, I didn’t realise it was for Eddie, but I did anyway and he appreciated it greatly.
The lunch cost way more than the pills, but he took the effort to get to know me and show his gratitude. I’ll always remember a secret he taught me that lunch. He taught me how to get away with speeding on the Malaysian highway. Hahaha… (Ask me one day and I’ll tell you)
That was Eddie’s big heart and kind soul. Tonight he’s with Jesus and that’s all that matters.
See you later bro. You’ve been a blessing.

Eddie is also a long lost friend of mine during primary (Ngee Heng) and secondary school (SSI) days. I still remember when we ran around JB during those days and enjoying our lives like no tommorow playing football, police and thiefs.
I’ve been trying to find him and his brothers and I coincidently read about this in mypaper (chinese brother) on 1 April 2008.
It’s been a pleasure being your friend during 1970s-1980s. Have a good rest my friend.

Thank you Joe Woon for your comment and kind words. I’m sorry for the loss of your childhood friend. Let’s keep a good memory of him.
I have been wondering if Eddie used to be from JB (until I saw Joe’s note) and lived in Taman Nong Chik. He seemed very familiar though I couldn’t be sure. Though I did not know him very well, I remember from my childhood days that he/ his brother was an accomplished pianist..
