The impact of iPhone on StarHub

My local mobile carrier StarHub in Singapore got a huge boost in online conversations today simply by announcing the availability of the iPhone by year-end. StarHub is the third and last carrier to announce its carrying of the Apple mobile phone, but even so it didn't fail to get people talking.

Most conversations took place on Twitter with links to news articles and the StarHub media release.

It's interesting to note that the Starhub press release contains only 3 sentences. (and 1 typo) Look at the amount of buzz that 3 sentences produce.

@DK, my post here also only has 3 sentences. But not as much buzz as Starhub.

@Patrick, I'd be more than happy to work with you and your company on marketing. It's been a while since we've met hasn't it?
